About Team Type 1
Founded in 2004, Team Type 1 has grown from an eight-person team of cyclists that won the Race Across America in 2006 and 2007 to now include men’s and women’s professional race teams, a triathlon team and a development team. The newly-formed Team Type 2 will also take on the Race Across America in 2009. Team Type 1 strives to instill hope and inspiration for people around the world affected by diabetes; through active management, one can achieve their goals, dreams, and potential.
